Hosting & Infrastructure

This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). Cloudflare automatically records standard server access logs (IP address, browser, page requested, timestamp) for every request. These logs are processed by Cloudflare in its role as a data processor and are subject toCloudflare's Privacy Policy. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest in operating a secure, functional website.

Cloudflare may transfer data to the United States. Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) are in place.

Fonts

This website uses Spline Sans Mono, served self-hosted from this domain via@fontsource/spline-sans-mono. No request is made to the Google Fonts CDN or any other third-party font service. Your IP address is never sent to Google for font loading.

GitHub API Call (Home Page Only)

The home page makes a direct client-side fetch to the publicGitHub REST API(api.github.com) to display the current star count for the loam.dev repository. This call is made by your browser and transmits your IP address to GitHub (GitHub, Inc., a Microsoft subsidiary, San Francisco, CA, USA — a third country under GDPR).This call occurs only on the home page. No other page contacts GitHub. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest in showing a live community signal. Web Analytics (Matomo, cookiefree)

This website uses the self-hosted, cookiefree web analytics software Matomo (endpoint: matomo.silvio-und-maik.de) to produce aggregated, statistical evaluations of how the site is used. The analysis is data-economical and runs entirely first-party on a server operated by the author. On each page access, the following technical characteristics are recorded: ananonymised IP address (truncated to 2 bytes before storage),browser type and version, the operating systemreported by the browser, the device type (desktop, tablet or smartphone), the screen resolution (via JavaScript), the configured browser language, the country of origin and region (geometrically derived from the IP address), thereferrer (the page from which this website was accessed), and the subpages visited with time spent and time of visit. In addition, anonymous technical performance metrics of the page are recorded (the Core Web Vitals: loading time of the largest content element, visual layout stability and response time to interactions); these measurements are purely technical and carry no personal reference.

No cookies are set and no information is stored on or read from your device; because tracking is cookieless and IP-anonymised, no consent — and therefore no cookie banner — is required under § 25 TDDDG. There is no profiling, no cross-device tracking, and no sharing with third parties. The data is used exclusively for aggregated statistics and cannot be linked to individuals.
